If you’re looking for extra income and happen to play an instrument really well, you could be one of the many people who have work at home jobs and create additional income doing something you like. You could give out piano lessons for example if that’s your instrument of choice. You would need to first get your services out there by advertising. You could do that in the papers, on Craiglists, or simply pass out flyers around your neighborhood. If you want to turn this into one of those home based businesses, then you’ll need to think a bit bigger.

One thing you could do instead of giving individual lessons is to create a video series where you take beginners through various lessons to help them learn to play the instrument. You could market your video serious up on Youtube by giving people a taste of what they will learn if they order your product. What this will do is give you leverage. If you physically teach students, you could only have so many at a time. However, if you have an instructional video series, you could reach a lot more people and make a lot more money as well. You could also just do both at the same time.

Another option is to teach people how to use various music producing software, also through videos.
